The Norfolk and Suffolk Agri-Food Industry Council provides strategic leadership for the region’s agri-food sector.

March 2024 

 New Anglia LEP led a bid to Innovate UK to secure the £7.5m Agri-Tech and Food Tech Launchpad for Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Greater Lincolnshire LEP. This is supporting innovative projects across agri-tech, agri biotech, food tech, aquaculture and seafood processing. Themes supported include:

– Sustainability in the context of environmental challenges
– Nutritional composition, food manufacturing & processing
– Resilience and responsiveness in the supply chain
– Minimising food loss and waste
– Protecting or enhancing animal welfare.
