Town Deals
In summer 2019, the Government announced a £3.6bn Towns Fund to support 101 Town Deals across England.
Five towns in our region were invited to apply – Norwich, Ipswich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and King’s Lynn.
A representative from New Anglia LEP sits on each of the local Town Deal boards.
Norwich received confirmation in October 2020 that it has been successful in a £25m bid. It will help the council to realise their ‘2040 Vision’, which includes a new digital hub, a digi-tech factory and an advanced construction and engineering (ACE) centre. These developments will grow the city’s digital sector, bringing new jobs and opportunities to the community.
