This project supports the transformation of the old Southwold Hospital into nine affordable new homes and a creative community hub providing a new home for Southwold Library, a nursery, a space for businesses and a farm-to-fork cafe.

After nearly two years of construction, the development is nearing completion and a topping-out ceremony to celebrate the completion of the external structure was held on 21 April 2021.

The redevelopment has been undertaken by SouthGen, a community group formed to prevent the hospital from being demolished to make way for second homes.
