The Nest – Community Sports Foundation Hub

Icon Red diamond

The Nest is a multi-purpose community hub, driving inclusivity, health and wellbeing and economic growth in Greater Norwich and Norfolk, combining facilities and programmes for business and local people to use.

Phase One of the scheme was formally opened in September 2018, following the completion of work on seven grass football pitches, the renovation of the existing clubhouse, and the installation of residential bunk boxes.

The £4.6 million pound phase saw the construction of a new main building and installation of a new full-size floodlit 3G pitch and ‘challenge woods’ outdoor activity area, which was completed in March 2021. Among the features of the new main building are two multi-use spaces that may serve as classrooms or studios, or be combined to form an event, meeting, or conference space thanks to the integrated audio/visual equipment.

The Nest is poised to reopen its doors as restrictions are eased.
