The programme aimed to extend the coverage of Superfast Broadband in Norfolk. The LEP contributed to the second part of the project, which was to extend the coverage of superfast broadband to at least 90% by the end of June 2018.

In 2020, the LEP secured £32.1m from the Government’s Getting Building Fund, some of which will go towards extending ultra-fast broadband into 80 additional public buildings through the Local Full Fibre Network (LFFN) programme in Norfolk.

– The programme is estimated to lead to growth in the local economy by £2 billion and 1,500 jobs created within 15 years.
