The Ely area is a critical rail crossroads for Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire and a significant bottleneck which holds back improvements to a wide range of services for passengers and freight across the East, London and the Midlands. This project is to find an outline Business Case to identify design and costings with the aim of securing DFT funding for construction.
