Minding the Gap supports anyone aged 16-24 in Suffolk, who is currently not engaging with employment, education or training
The project’s specialist advisers work on a one to one basis with each young person, offering intensive, targeted support which includes personal development mentoring, help with training and work placements, access to mental health support and practical employability skills support.
The Minding the Gap project is a partnership of organisations across Suffolk. Project partners are Lapwing Education, Realise Futures, Involve Active and Red Rose Chain who:
  • Support a range of challenges including those that have struggled to continue within mainstream school.
  • Specialise in supporting those with physical disabilities, learning difficulty, mental health, self-esteem.
  • Supporting young parents and those that are isolated from friends, family and a support network.
  • Help to address claims for financial support, housing and managing finances.
