Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) are proud to be holding the New Anglia Youth Pledge Marque. Norwich BID has employed 3 apprentices over the past 4 years, each holding the position of Administration Assistant. They have held the Youth Pledge Marque since the summer of 2017 and continue to support the scheme.

Stefan Gurney, Executive Director of Norwich BID said, “As a business we feel there are great benefits to employing apprentices and would strongly urge other businesses to do the same and secure the Youth Pledge Marque. As we are a small team, our Apprentices are exposed to all areas of business, which aids their skills development. Apprentices bring a fresh vision and enthusiasm to learn, whilst bringing a new and different perspective to projects we undertake.”

We feel it’s important to support young people and to give something back. We have forged good links with City College Norwich to recruit suitable apprentices. One of our apprentices was so inspired by the events we host and organise, that they decided that to take what they’d learned at the BID and go on to study events management at University.”

The BID intends to continue fulfilling the Youth Pledge Marque, currently recruiting for their next apprentice.
