A new paint booth will improve efficiency and reduce waste for a Bury St Edmunds locker and cubicle company.
Helmsman Lockers and Cubicles, which designs, supplies and installs lockers and cubicles for all sectors, has installed a new powder coating paint booth with support from New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership’s Business Resilience and Recovery Scheme.
The new booth means changing paint is faster and cleaner. There is less waste and a shorter lead time for new work. It will also allow for the paint line to work at capacity while still following social distancing restrictions.
Paul Gormley, from Helmsman Lockers and Cubicles, said: “It has been great to have the New Anglia LEP team on board as this would have not been achieved without their help.”
Chris Starkie, Chief Executive of New Anglia LEP, said: “It is great to see this new paint booth already operating. By improving efficiency and using the latest technology, the company will be able to focus time and energy on new opportunities and growth.”
Launched in spring 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, New Anglia LEP’s Business Resilience and Recovery Scheme supports short-term project and long-term diversifications to help businesses respond to and recover from the crisis.
