Morgan Sindall, one of the region’s largest construction businesses, is among those leading the way in their support for the New Anglia Youth Pledge Marque.

The Marque recognises their commitment to supporting young people through hiring apprentices, offering work experience and volunteering with the Enterprise Adviser Network.

Saul Humphrey, managing director of Morgan Sindall’s East division and chair of the New Anglia Building Growth sector group, says: “The New Anglia Youth Pledge Marque is a positive way of demonstrating Morgan Sindall’s support for developing future talent across sectors in the East of England. Our 11 trainees and apprentices support and help to future-proof our business with succession planning, as well as ensuring a steady flow of new ideas.”

The New Anglia Youth Pledge is the LEP’s commitment that every young person in Norfolk and Suffolk will get the support they need to get into education, training, an apprenticeship or a job within three months of leaving education or employment.

The Youth Pledge Marque is awarded to businesses which show their commitment to the Pledge through taking on apprentices and work experience placements. It also includes joining The New Anglia Enterprise Advisor Network, which connects inspirational business leaders with local schools and colleges, helping to motivate and inspire young people and make a major impact on their work prospects.
