So, together with St George’s Works, a new concept was formed. nook is a brand new flexible office concept for remote teams, to support the way that many companies are now working. Tom has 15 years experience in design, development and usability, for both client- and agency-side backgrounds. Over his career he has worked with Virgin Money, ASDA, HMV, Arco, Econsultancy, BBC and RAC before starting UX agency The User Story. He designs products and platforms for startups and multinational companies, has spoken at international conferences and events, and has a guest lecturing position for BSc User Experience and Interaction Design courses at Norwich University of the Arts, inspiring young people into a career in user centered design.

Ned has a Masters degree in Environmental Science from UEA, and extensive experience on business sustainability measures. This includes establishing the Carbon Charter – one of the first sustainability accreditations for SMEs in the country.

The University of Suffolk is working hard with our regional Universities to deliver flexible virtual internships to support SME recovery and student employment. The graduating cohort of 2020 faces a challenging labour market and are a considerable skills asset for the region. As part of our ‘Together with Business’ programme we are seeking to mobilise that talent to the frontline of SME recovery – providing additional capacity and capability at a crucial time. Stef will give an overview of the benefits of internships and the funding opportunities available to support.
