Programme of improvements in North Walsham town centre. The town centre has long suffered the classic signs of decline, but these have been exacerbated and magnified by the recent replacement gas main works and the impacts of Covid-19. Agreed through a Town Centre Heritage Action Zone, the project would see the implementation of measures to make the centre more accessible/ pedestrian friendly and to increase its attractiveness to a range of commercial and service uses, reinforced by a marketing campaign. Additional funding would bring forward key elements and improve opportunities of further match funding.
