In October an enhanced Year 11 progression fair to ensure more accessible information and support
for young people about the full range of post 16 options, to complement the existing offer in and
around Norwich was trialled. As part of the NOA Careers Facilitator Network, Form The Future were
commissioned to deliver a collaborative careers event to support NOA schools achieve the Gatsby
benchmarks. After discussion with Norfolk County Council, the event was extended to invite Norfolk-
wide students and exhibitors. Students and parents attending came from across 30 different schools
in Norfolk and the event was supported by 38 exhibitors. On the day there was a total of 785 visitors
to the event. Exhibitors included FE & HE colleges, employers, apprenticeship providers and training
providers. The event also included a quiet hour for students with SEND to ensure access to the event
for all students. Of the event a visiting school said “ s a school we would never be able to do
something like this ourselves or give our students this much information about options. We met
providers we didn’t even know provided post 16 education.” parent visitor said, “it was great
having the opportunity to go with my daughter to see a wide range of providers with good
information.”
