joining viva; cleaner, electrician, bar work, paper rounds͘

What school subjects link to your career? ll three of my subjects link massively to my ca-

reer͘ I am an Underwriter who reviews financial and physical risks and hazards, all of which

are covered in Geography, Geology and Business studies

typical day in your current role looks like: Building relatonships with relevant brokers

and clients within the London market͘ Reviewing and underwritng GCS sized risks:

- Pricing

- Capacity

- Managing exposure and accumulaton

What skills do you use daily, that you learnt at school? Excel and IT skills on a regular ba-

sis, basic maths skills͘

What is the number #1 piece of advice you’ve been given that helped you with your

career choice? ‘University Is not the only opton’ this 100% changed my approach afer

aim to become progress from a junior to an underwriter and then potentally a senior͘
