Where did you go to school? Wymondham High Sixth Form

What subjects did you study? Psychology, Sociology and Geography
•
Why did you choose an pprentceship? I chose an apprentceship because you get experi-
ence whilst on the job͘ I wanted to start my career path when I lef Sixth Form, this appren-
tceship has allowed me not only to start my career but also progress within my studying
too͘

What path did you take to get to your current positon? From GSCE’s, I then went on to
study
-Levels͘ When this opportunity came up, I applied and received offers to both stag-
es of the interview process (one being a group interview and one being an individual inter-
view) and then I got the apprentceship with Flagship͘

What does a typical day in your role look like? My day varies, in my apprentceship I move
around the company in three-month blocks receiving an insight into each department with-
in Flagship͘ This ranges from departments such as the Housing Team to HR͘ I am currently
with the Housing Team and a typical day for me is shadowing different roles within the de-
partment, helping our customers͘ I have shadowed a range of visits, varying from signing
up a customer to carrying out a pre-leave inspecton͘

What do you think are the most valuable skills have you learnt on your apprentceship?
Some of the most valuable skills I have learnt on this apprentceship are: teamwork (when
working with my colleagues), communicaton skills (when communicatng with our custom-
ers) and adaptability skills too (when adaptng to different situatons)͘

What is the job prospect/progression when you complete your apprentceship? When I
complete my apprentceship, I am guaranteed a job from Flagship͘ The idea is that afer I
have experienced each department through learning and shadowing, I choose the depart-
ment that I feel I would like to work with͘

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? This is a difficult queston as I have only experienced
one department in my apprentceship so far͘ However, I thoroughly enjoy working with our
Housing Team and would love to see myself being part of them in 5 years’ tme͘ I would like
