thought of learning on the job, especially as I learn beter by partcipatng in actvites and
this apprentceship gave me the opportunity to do so. I knew that University wasn’t for me,
and this way I gain a degree qualificaton while working and learning new skills.
•
What path did you take to get to your current positon? While studying for my levels the
opportunity for this apprentceship came up, and I liked the idea of what it involved so I ap-

group interview. fer successfully completng the inital two stages I then had an individual
interview and was offered the job the same week.

my day involves lots of shadowing to learn about all the different job roles, these include
Housing Officers, Estates Officers and SB Officers. I also have a university day once a
month, where my tutor comes to Mildenhall to run through my learning.

The most valuable skill I have learned is teamwork. Currently I’m working in the Housing
Team, everyone must work with one another to ensure their job is done to a high standard.
I think good team work is essental for any job role, so this is a valuable skill to have.

What is the job prospect/progression when you complete your apprentceship? fer my
apprentceship I should have picked an area of the business that I find the most interestng
and most enjoyable working for.

What do you like best about being an apprentce? I like being an apprentce as I can learn
while working, and it has a more hands on approach so I can get involved with tasks.
Why do you love your apprentceship?
With my specific apprentceship I will learn about all different roles
around the business, so I find this very interestng. I really love the op-
portunity that I am offered by learning about all these roles, it gives
me a much greater understanding of the business.
