Students at Copleston High School in Ipswich got the opportunity to meet entrepreneur and fashion
model, Pam Davis. Owner of Fashion Candy Style and Copleston alum, Pam visited to inspire current
students on pathways into the fashion industry and reflect on her years at the school. During her visit
she met with Year 9, 10 & 11 textiles classes to give a presentation on her career and where fashion
has taken her. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and Pam sat down to review their
coursework, offering them feedback. Students also took part in interactive workshops which focused
on the career paths linked to the fashion and media industries.
Reflecting on her visit to the school that made her career possible, Pam said “Copleston really set me
up for an aspirational future and that’s why I find it so important to come back in and act as a role
model to every student and ensure they are given some guidance on the world of work to help
support their future pathways”. The school’s Careers Lead said, “Pam sharing her experiences with
students was invaluable. Students were high motivated and engaged to find out more about future
careers in fashion and the media”
