New Anglia LEP has launched an interactive version of its investment map, representing the LEP’s investments across Norfolk and Suffolk.
The map allows you to click on an area to see LEP investments through our Growth Deal and Growing Places Fund programmes, plus information on each of our Enterprise Zone sites.
To date, the LEP has secured over £290m of Growth Deal funding to create an estimated 54,750 new jobs, 6,800 new homes and to generate an additional £628m public and private investment.
Part of this funding is delivered through the Growing Places Fund, which provides loan-funding to help kick-start and support development projects across Suffolk and Norfolk. From innovation centres that will help launch new start-ups to transforming empty land into new homes and commercial premises, the Fund provides infrastructure loan funding to projects that might otherwise have stalled or not started at all.
Enterprise Zones deliver a wide range of benefits to companies including a business rate discount of up to £275,000 over five years, simplified planning and access to superfast broadband.
Some of the recent projects that have received funding from New Anglia LEP include:
- Great Yarmouth Flood Defences (awarded £8.2m through the Growth Deal funding). A £39m project aiming to protect housing and businesses through the construction and refurbishment of 3.8 kilometres of flood defence walls, unlocking economic growth in the town.
Snetterton Employment Area Power Upgrade (awarded £2.65m through the Growth Deal funding). A £3.4m project to expand existing electricity supply capability and support substantial industrial business growth at Snetterton Heath, one of the largest employment sites on the A11.
Norwich Castle: Gateway to Medieval England (awarded £500k through the Growing Places Fund). A £13m project to redevelop Norwich Castle’s Keep, transforming it back to its original 12th century layout and making it accessible throughout.
