Two of the region’s most innovative start-ups jointly won the Invest East Showcase – the final stage of an ERDF-funded Investment Readiness programme which has supported over 50 Norfolk and Suffolk companies.
NeedleDock and Coral Eyewear, both of whom took part in the Investment Readiness Programme, won the ‘Best Pitch’ prize, unlocking access to future investment.
The Showcase took place at Ipswich Town Hall on 5 February and saw eight companies pitching to compete to win the “Best Pitch” award, which was handed out by James Finch, Chairman of Suffolk County Council.
The Showcase was attended by prominent investors from across the UK, including Anglia Capital Group and Turquoise International, to celebrate the best dealflow from the second cohort of the Investment Readiness Programme.
Saffron Myhill-Hunt, Innovation Funding Manager said: “The Showcase event was so inspirational – those brave business founders who have worked so hard over the last four months of the programme, all presented top notch investment propositions with clarity and competence. I’m expecting lots of follow ups from investors and I congratulate them all for proving what a wealth of opportunities there are in Norfolk & Suffolk.”
