LEP Chair Doug Field is celebrating after winning the Corporate Social Responsibility category at the Institute of Directors’ Director of the Year Awards for the East of England.
Doug picked up the award for his work in his main role as Joint Chief Executive of East of England Co-Op.
Doug was presented with his award at a celebratory lunch held on Friday 15th June at The Jockey Club Rooms, Newmarket. Doug commented: “I am incredibly proud to have won this award. A real endorsement of the work my colleagues at the East of England Co-op and New Anglia LEP do to ensure our communities are happy, healthy and vibrant places to be.”
Judge David Sales applauded Doug’s achievement, saying: “Every year these awards get more competitive, meaning the judging process is ever more challenging and exciting! It is a pleasure to hand this award to Doug in recognition of outstanding performance, focus, clarity and role modelling. Doug will now go forward to compete in the national awards.
