£14.6m

OutComes:

The overarching aim and objective of the Business Growth Programme is to deliver a range of business support services, over the period of September 2015 – November 2021, to accelerate the growth of existing Norfolk and Suffolk businesses, increase the number of business start-ups and raise levels of employment and productivity. This is being achieved through the delivery of three main distinct, but linked, initiatives, to enhance and add to the current business support offer.
New Anglia Growth Hub

New Anglia Growth Hub is central to the delivery of the Programme and is delivered in partnership with Suffolk Chamber of Commerce by a dedicated team of Business Growth Advisers. Working under a ‘neutral brand’, the Growth Hub’s role is to raise awareness and proactively stimulate demand for business support amongst local businesses with growth potential and in key LEP sectors. The Growth Hub also provides a referral service to businesses, signposting them to the most appropriate form of business support according to their business needs.

Start-Up Provision
The Start-Up Programme helps both early stage businesses develop and grow their businesses and potential entrepreneurs to implement and set up their business initiatives. The Programme is delivered by partners NWES and MENTA.

Small Grant Scheme

Small Grant Scheme provides grants between £1,000 and £25,000 to small and medium sized businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk to support their growth, take on new staff, introduce new products or services and become more efficient. The Scheme is delivered in partnership with New Anglia Growth Hub and Suffolk County Council.

Visitor Economy and Wider Economy Grant Schemes

The Visitor & Wider Economy Grant Schemes are an additional and a short-term initiative launched in September 2020 (and which must be delivered and completed by April 2021) in line with the government proposal to support local businesses.
The Schemes offer grants from £1,000 to £3,000, at 100% of intervention rate, to local businesses, who operate in the visitor economy sector/supply chain or are part of the wider economy, to respond to the immediate COVID-19 crisis and help them implement their planned projects.
Due to a very high level of interest in these grants, both schemes have now closed to new enquiries.
