Work was completed in February 2021 on this £500,000 scheme, which aims to raise the flood defence height at Snape Maltings from 3m to 3.7m.
Activities
The installation of concrete walls, raised earth banking and the replacement of existing windows with flood-proof windows.
– 2 FTE new jobs (maintenance and Café)
– 180 jobs safeguarded
– 5 temporary construction jobs
– 75 new jobs after building new Creative Campus
– 40 houses will either be protected, or have their access routes protected
– 5 new business initiatives will be created within the new Creative Campus
