A report published today (Fri 20) highlights the strengths of the New Anglia Enterprise Adviser Network, which connects business leaders with schools.
The Careers and Enterprise Company’s State of the Nation report shows that the number of Gatsby benchmarks achieved in schools in Norfolk and Suffolk has increased to 3.1 (up from 2.6 in 2018). This sets the New Anglia Enterprise Adviser Network above the 2019 national average.
71% of state-funded schools completed the Compass self-assessment tool in the 2018/19 academic year.
The New Anglia Careers Hub, comprised of 32 schools across the region, is currently performing at an average of 3.6 Benchmarks achieved – above the New Anglia LEP area average of 3.1.
Glen Todd, Enterprise Adviser Network and Hub Manager, said: “The report shows that our Enterprise Adviser Network is helping schools to deliver against the Gatsby benchmarks.
“Our volunteer Enterprise Advisers work closely with schools to increase access to the real world of work and to inspire pupils to engage with business. There is still lots to be done but I’m delighted that the numbers show we are improving year on year.”
