Britvic has announced today (15 Deember) that it will be closing its factory in Norwich.
Chris Starkie, Chief Executive Officer at New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, said:
“While disappointed at Britvic’s decision, our efforts now turn to supporting their workers into alternative employment and to offer support and advice to supply chain companies in the local area. This work includes matching up expanding businesses with workers and suppliers with specific skills and expertise.
“Unilever’s review of production at the Carrow site it shares with Britvic is due to conclude in the New Year. The LEP and its partners continue to work closely with the company to explore every option to keep the Colman’s brand and the jobs its production supports within Norfolk.”
