New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership is reflecting upon a year of working with partners across the East to grow our economy, create jobs and improve skills, as the LEP hosts its Annual General Meeting at The International Aviation Academy-Norwich.
The AGM is also be an opportunity to look to the future, setting out our ambitions and providing more detail of the plans to deliver the Economic Strategy for Norfolk and Suffolk.
For the first time this year, the LEP has produced an Annual Review to coincide with the AGM, providing a snapshot of all programmes and projects within one publication. Highlights include:
- £22m approved through the LEP’s Growth Deal with Government,
- £39.6m unlocked in private investment
- £3.5m awarded in business support funding
- 309 learners and apprentices supported

Doug Field, Chair of New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “Events like these are vital as too often we can only see what remains to be done and never notice what has been done. As I look back over my first year as Chair, I’m proud to see how much has been achieved through our programmes and partnership projects to generate inclusive growth, create jobs, upgrade infrastructure and improve our skills offer.
“But the hard work must continue. And that’s the message of this first Annual Review – that we can achieve so much more for Norfolk and Suffolk with more collaboration, creative thinking and sharing best practice. I’m looking forward to the year ahead with a real optimism that we can do that.”
