Leading employment lawyer Jeanette Wheeler has been appointed deputy chair of New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership.
She will take over the role on 1 April from outgoing deputy chair Lindsey Rix.
Jeanette heads up Birketts’ employment law team in Norfolk and Suffolk, as well as its other regional offices, and sits on the firm’s management board.
She is a recent past President of the Norfolk and Norwich Law Society and former Chair of the Norwich Business Women’s Network. She currently sits on one of the Norfolk Chamber Area Councils.
Jeanette commented: “These are unprecedented times during which it is imperative for business leaders and public sector leaders to collaborate and support our business community and their people.
“I will do my best to support our current chair, chief executive and the LEP team in the significant challenges ahead and help our soon-to-be-appointed next chair to transition and lead our board in making the right decisions for Norfolk and Suffolk.
“When COVID-19 has passed, there will be an important role for New Anglia LEP in helping our businesses to flourish and grow again.”
