Matthew Hicks was elected as the Leader of Suffolk County Council in May 2018. He is also currently the Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Infrastructure and Broadband. Matthew was elected as the County Councillor for the Thredling division in 2013. He was appointed as the Assistant Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services in May 2014. Matthew was subsequently appointed as the Cabinet Member for Environment and Public Protection in May 2015.
