New Anglia LEP is pleased to be taking part in Talk Money Week, an annual awareness campaign run by the Money and Pensions Service to encourage everyone to open up about their money and pensions.

Held from 9th to the 13th November, Talk Money Week aims to reduce the stigma around money by encouraging conversations among families, friends, neighbours, customers, colleagues and communities. Talking openly about money can have a huge impact on managing money worries and is important for our overall health and relationships. The impact of Covid-19 has made it more important than ever to start conversations about money to look after our financial wellbeing.

To highlight the connection between healthy business and personal finances, New Anglia LEP has added the Money and Pensions Service’s Money Navigator and Budget Planner tools to its Job Support Programme website pages, making it easier for local people to find advice about money.

Chris Starkie, Chief Executive of New Anglia LEP, said: “We launched our Job Support Programme earlier in the autumn, aiming to deliver a ‘one stop shop’ for resources and links about getting back into work, finding a new role and starting a business. Of course, finance is a key part of that, so we’re pleased to be able to add the Money and Pension Service’s interactive tools to our website.

“For many businesses – particularly small and micro businesses – the company’s finances and the business owners personal and family finances are very closely linked, and current circumstances mean that many people are having to stretch their income and savings.”

You can find the interactive tools online here
