Businesses, innovators and researchers from Norfolk’s agri-food sector are being invited to take part in a dynamic, in-person event which will explore sustainable innovation in the industry.
Net zero focused solutions that could transform the county’s food, drink and agri-food sector will be showcased at an all-day conference hosted by New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) in collaboration with Innovate UK KTN as part of the Clean Growth Week.
Themed speaker sessions, panels, exhibitions, and knowledge exchange workshops will feature in the event at the John Innes centre in Norwich on 21 February 2024.
Topics will include sustainable food processing and manufacturing, circular economy, supply chain and waste management, sustainable farming practices and future local activity.
Nicolette Jeffreys, Clean Growth Manager for the LEP, says the event is for anyone in the sector looking to revolutionise their approach to sustainability and drive clean growth.
“Whether you’re an individual, business, innovator, or researcher, if you’re passionate about driving net zero innovation and sustainability within the agri-food sector then this event will provide you with a platform for connection and growth,” she says.
“It will provide valuable knowledge sharing and networking between those with existing net zero challenges and those who have successfully implemented solutions to similar challenges. There will be the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers while collaboratively addressing the challenges in adopting clean and sustainable practices.
“We hope everyone who takes part in this event will leave with a clear vision of what their next steps are within their net zero journey.”
The event is being funded and delivered by Norfolk County Council, University of East Anglia, Innovate UK KTN and New Anglia LEP.
