The aim of the project is to improve the labour market relevance of education and training systems, facilitating the transition from education to work, and strengthening vocational education and training systems and their quality, including through mechanisms for skills anticipation, adaptation of curricula and the establishment and development of work based learning systems, including dual learning systems and apprenticeship schemes.

Work with a range of employers, particularly SMEs to create co-designed new wide-ranging and impactful curriculum that improves the relevance of technical courses to local employer skills needs in 5 key sector areas.

  • Agri-tech (led by Easton College, part of City College Norwich)
  • Clean Energy (led by East Coast College)
  • Information Technology and Communications / Digital (led by Suffolk New College)
  • Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (led by College of West Anglia)
  • Construction (led by West Suffolk College)

A significant increase in the number of students in the New Anglia region with employer-defined, industry relevant skills and knowledge, thus supporting increased productivity and economic growth. Increases in the match between skills that students have and the needs of industry will drive economic growth and job creation, placing the region in a very strong national and international position to maximise the potential for inward investment.
