Over 70 representatives from local authorities and business groups joined the New Anglia LEP team for a strategy summit on 2 May.
The attendees discussed a wide range of activities for the high level delivery plan for the Economic Strategy for Norfolk and Suffolk. They looked at key interventions which will deliver on the strategy’s ambitions, including creating 88,000 new jobs and 30,000 new businesses.
The summit was the latest in a series of engagement activites. During January and February, hundreds of local businesses shared their activities and ideas with the LEP.
Chris Starkie, chief executive of New Anglia LEP, said: “We’re looking for creative and innovative ideas to drive the change which our region needs. We’ve worked in very close partnership with business groups and local authorities throughout the development of the strategy and we’re now looking forward to strengthening those links as we move into the delivery stage.”
