Over 50 businesses have been approved for funding under the Small Grant Scheme, launched earlier this year, which awards grants between £1,000 and £25,000. To date over £400,000 of grant funding has been committed, leveraging over £1.7m in private sector match funding.
The scheme is administered by New Anglia Growth Hub, which has now recorded over 30,000 hours of free support for Norfolk and Suffolk’s growing businesses, since its launch in 2014.
The team of business growth advisers provide face-to-face meetings with business owners to discuss their needs and help them to access grants to enable expansion, as well as signposting to other business support organisations.
The free service is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership.
